About the Mixer: |
The Khalsa Fall Mixer is an intentional evening to nurture and help grow the parent-teacher community at Khalsa Montessori School, while at the same time raising money for our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Fund.
The PTO Fund provides reimbursements to teachers for items that support and maintain their classrooms, as well as teacher/staff appreciation activities. |
What to Expect: |
Come enjoy the early November weather with the Khalsa community at the lovely Encanto Park Clubhouse!
Enjoy catering from Flower Child, a live jazz band (including a Khalsa parent alum!), and our Mixer Auction to raise money for the PTO Fund. Some of the most coveted auction items are the artwork created by the children in each classroom at Khalsa. |
Childcare: |
Childcare for Khalsa enrolled students is provided by Khalsa staff and is available from 5:45pm - 8:30pm at all three campuses. The cost is $10 per child, and includes dinner and special entertainment.
Elementary will showcase Jungle Jill with live animals, Primary will have a balloon artist with games and music, and Toddlers will enjoy bubbles and glow sticks. If your child(ren) is not in extended care, drop off at their campus begins at 5:45pm and pickup by 8:30pm.
If your child(ren) is in extended care, please sign a permission form FOR EACH CHILD authorizing Khalsa staff to sign the child out of regular extended care and into Mixer childcare. Pickup by 8:30pm. Note: with the waiver signed parents do NOT need to be physically present to sign their child out of extended care and back into Mixer childcare. The Fall Mixer is a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect and build community, as well as a raise money for our PTO Fund. Creating memorable events requires resources, and your support truly makes the difference. Last year we raised $800 for the PTO Fund. Let's double it this year!
Budget:
3 Ways You Can Support: Family Donations: Suggested donation of $25 from each family on the RSVP Form. If $25 feels like a stretch, please know that any contribution is appreciated. Mixer Auction: Donate and/or procure items for the auction. Donations can be gently-used items from your homes, a gift certificate from your favorite business, or perhaps you know a local business that is willing to donate a service or gift certificate. Some ideas for secondhand items to donate include plants, book or game/puzzle bundles, recreation equipment, and more. Clothes and large furniture items are discouraged. The Mixer planning team may save some donated items for future fundraisers based on donations received. CLICK HERE TO DONATE AN ITEM BY NOV 2 Please bring your auction items with you to the Mixer. Sponsorships: If you have the means and desire, we encourage you and/or your business to sponsor a night of community building, allowing more of the money raised from the auction to go directly to the PTO Fund. The RSVP form will have options for you to sponsor the event at an amount that your family feels comfortable in the "Additional Sponsorship" section. |
